A key voice in Finland’s new wave of indie
Helsinki artist shaping Finland’s new wave of indie with warmth, depth, and quiet charisma
Finnish-Swedish superstar
markus krunegård
One of the biggest Finnish-Swedish artists of his generation, Markus Krunegård has conquered Sweden with his pop anthems – and made history with Nokia & Ericsson, the first Finnish-language album ever nominated at the Grammis Awards.
Helsinki’s indie secret
mummypowder
Mummypowder is one of the long-standing cult names of Finnish indie rock, known for their melodic and melancholic sound where classic guitar pop meets modern alternative rock. Formed in 1995, Mummypowder has released four LPs, made an MTV-featured video, and toured both the U.S. and Japan – where their third album was also released. Still alive and working on new material, the band remains a cornerstone of Finland’s indie underground.
